Job Description
Summary: ALS is a global team focused on scientific testing and data-driven insights to promote a healthier future. The Organics Analyst role involves performing extractions using EPA methods, preparing samples, and ensuring safety and cleanliness in the laboratory environment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for entire analytical process, from preparation of samples, instrument set up and data analysis
- Prepare reagents for use in sample preparation process
- Responsible to safely and properly wash scientific glassware
- Recognize and maintain safe working conditions. Use appropriate safety equipment. Follow PPE policies
- Perform recordkeeping as required to ensure adequate documentation and traceability
- Maintain a clean, orderly work environment
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to work off shift and/or overtime
Required Qualifications:
- Dedication to supporting goals, objectives, and philosophies of ALS
- Ability to work as a team, be a team player and support fellow co-workers
- Strong time management skills
- Diligent work ethic and the ability to work as a team member
- High energy level, confidence, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Multi-tasked, organized, and detail oriented

- Able to work well in a team and has problem solving capabilities
- HS Diploma, BS Degree in a science Discipline preferred
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and follow direction
- Strong commitment to quality and integrity
- Possible travel to additional labs in other areas
- The ability to stand for intervals of up to 8 hours while working
- Able to speak and hear clearly while communicating with co-workers and managers
- Dexterity in hands and fingers to handle glassware
- Must have average vision and able to see to read labels
