Job Description
Summary: Ally Financial is a leading digital financial services company focused on providing innovative solutions and exceptional customer service. The Analyst - Advanced Business Analytics role involves executing quantitative analysis to develop business insights and optimize portfolio performance while mentoring emerging analytics professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Independently interfacing with key stakeholders to provide timely and accurate analysis that drive business objectives and targets
- Performs analysis to drive change within the business
- Identify, quantify and propose risk/reward trade-off of recommendations
- Apply knowledge of business and balanced judgment in interpretation of data
- Own and drive detailed end-to-end analysis of trends and drivers within the Auto portfolio
- Leading analytics projects which require technical sophistication and the ability to navigate ambiguity
- Performing ad hoc analysis and quickly provide results and recommendations
- Maintain code logic to produce accurate operational and portfolio-level reports
- Engage in a culture of Diversity and Inclusion
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years' experience in analytics required
- High school diploma required
- Working both independently and with direction to meet established deadlines and objectives
- Business Acumen
- Financial Statements and Concepts
- Working in cross functional teams
- Intermediate technical with excel and/or analysis software
- Thinks deeply and critically to ask the right questions
- Pays attention to detail/Ensures accurate deliverables
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in quantitative field - Finance, Economics, Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics
