Job Description
As the Manager, Financial Reporting, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of Allstate Canada's financial reporting and regulatory compliance activities. This role plays a critical part in delivering financial insights that support strategic decision-making, while ensuring adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls. You will collaborate with leaders across the organization, regulators, auditors, and parent company stakeholders to drive reporting excellence and continuous process improvement.Who is Allstate:

Accountabilities:
- Lead and develop a team of Financial Reporting Analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning through coaching, performance management, and talent development.
- Oversee the preparation, review, and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including financial statements, regulatory filings, account reconciliations, journal entries, trend analysis, and related disclosures.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and regulatory reporting requirements while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial information.
- Manage the year-end reporting process, coordinating timelines and deliverables across Finance, auditors, actuaries, and other business partners to ensure successful completion of statutory and regulatory reporting obligations.
- Review financial reporting packages, capital adequacy calculations, and key financial metrics, providing insights and recommendations that support leadership decision-making.
- Partner with internal and external auditors, regulators, and cross-functional stakeholders to facilitate audits, address findings, and maintain compliance with governance requirements.
- Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness through automation, technology, and best practices.
Qualifications :
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required.
- Minimum 5 years of financial reporting experience, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry, or 4+ years of relevant public accounting experience.
- Minimum 2 years of people leadership experience, including coaching and developing high-performing teams.
- Advanced knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards and financial reporting practices.
- Experience preparing and reviewing regulatory filings, financial statements, and reporting packages.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus qualifications:
- Knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance accounting, regulatory, and capital reporting requirements.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or other enterprise accounting systems.
- Proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Experience using Microsoft Analysis for Office.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including macros and automation.
- Knowledge of corporate tax reporting and compliance requirements.

Expected compensation for this role ranges from $ 104,000.00 - 154,000.00 annually.
