They are seeking an Industrial Engineer Intern to support various activities including productivity improvement and standardized work development on the shop floor. Responsibilities: - Support 5 S’s activities on the shop floor, labeling racks, color-coding tools in assembly, mark floor for Material staging areas - Support Productivity Improvement – Data Analysis - Support developing Standardized Work – being able to record daily tasks - Support 5S’s Global Assessment Deployment - Helping to ensure projects are completed on time Required Qualifications: - An in-process bachelor's degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering - Ability to work with people in an industrial environment - Computer proficient (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) - Simulation Software – Arena, FlexSim, etc - Experience and/or knowledge on Time and Motions – Time Studies - Knowledge of basic lean tools – 5S's, SMED, Value Stream Map, etc - Generative AI: ChatGPT/LLMs for process documentation Preferred Qualifications: - Experience and/or knowledge working in or around machine shop or machining is a plus Required Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, Simulation Software, Arena, FlexSim, Time, Motion Studies, Time Studies, Lean Tools, 5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, Generative AI, ChatGPT, Large Language Models, Process Documentation, Machine Shop Experience, Machining, work with people in an industrial environment
