Position Overview
The AI Analyst supports the evaluation, implementation, monitoring, and governance of artificial intelligence tools and related data-driven technologies across the organization. The role serves as a bridge between business operations, legal and compliance requirements, information technology, risk management, and end users to help ensure AI solutions are deployed responsibly, effectively, and in alignment with organizational objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI tools, models, and vendors for business applicability, operational impact, data governance, security, and regulatory risk.
- Partner with business units, including legal, compliance, operations, HR, and IT, to identify, assess, and prioritize AI use cases.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of AI governance documentation, including use-case inventories, risk assessments, approval records, controls documentation, and monitoring logs.
- Analyze AI-generated outputs for accuracy, consistency, bias, explainability concerns, and operational suitability; escalate issues and recommend corrective action where needed.
- Support the creation, implementation, and maintenance of internal AI policies, standards, procedures, and acceptable-use guidelines.
- Conduct due diligence reviews of third-party AI providers, including review of contractual terms, confidentiality safeguards, privacy controls, security measures, and compliance representations.
- Translate technical AI concepts into practical business guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
- Assist with employee education and training regarding the responsible and approved use of AI tools.
- Monitor legal, regulatory, and industry developments relating to artificial intelligence, data use, privacy, and technology governance.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and recommendations for management regarding AI-related opportunities, risks, controls, and performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with business needs and applicable law.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, information systems, business analytics, finance, legal studies, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certification preferred.
- Three to seven years of experience in analytics, technology risk, compliance, operations, legal support, audit, data governance, or AI-related functions.
- Working knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, including model limitations, training data considerations, and common operational risks.
- Familiarity with data privacy, information security, records management, and governance principles.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to varied audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Excel, reporting tools, SQL, Python, or business intelligence platforms is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a regulated industry, such as financial services, healthcare, legal services, or government-regulated business environments.
- Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, model risk management practices, or technology control environments.
- Experience conducting vendor diligence, policy drafting, control testing, or compliance reviews.
- Exposure to internal audit, enterprise risk management, privacy compliance, or records governance.

Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment and may be performed in an in-office, hybrid, or remote setting, depending on business needs and company policy.
