Job Description
Summary: Alkegen is a leading specialty materials company focused on battery technologies and filtration media. The Engineering Intern will support the Engineering team by providing exposure to manufacturing processes and participating in continuous improvement projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a student interested in engineering exposure and experience in a manufacturing setting while helping with production reporting, yield loss analysis/improvement, troubleshooting process incidents, management of change (MOC), and root cause analysis/corrective actions (RCA/CA)
- Establish safe working habits
- Student exposure to the manufacturing industry
- Familiarize working within cross-functional teams
- Awareness of how the individual’s contributions impact the plant
- Participate in continuous improvement projects
- Complete engineering tasks/projects and present outcomes of engineering work at the end of the summer to plant and corporate leadership
Required Qualifications:
- Must be working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Ceramic, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent degree from an accredited university
