DevSecOps Engineer Intern at ALEX - Alternative Experts in Remote

They are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer Intern to support their integrated data science team in developing and deploying secure platforms across various cloud environments, with responsibilities including implementing DevSecOps practices and enhancing CI/CD pipelines. Responsibilities: - Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD - Integrate automated testing, security scanning, and deployment processes - Implement security tools (container scanning) within pipelines - Support deployment and operation of applications using Docker and Kubernetes - Contribute to development and maintenance of Helm charts - Support vulnerability remediation efforts by analyzing scan results and implementing fixes without causing regressions - Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools - Apply secure configuration practices across cloud and on-prem environments - Assist with implementing Kubernetes security controls (RBAC, secrets management, image policies) - Assist in configuring secure cloud environments (IAM roles, network security groups, encryption) - Support secrets management using tools such as AWS Secrets Manager or Azure Key Vault Required Qualifications: - Familiarity with CI/CD deployment processes and automated testing - Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes - Technical proficiency with Python - Excellent communications skills – both verbal and written.
