Job Description
Summary: Alegeus is a company focused on fintech and healthtech, seeking a Payment Operations Analyst I to enhance partner experiences and optimize operations. The role involves ensuring account accuracy, analyzing trends for process improvements, and collaborating with teams to resolve financial data issues.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure 100% accuracy in reconciling accounts, including managing exceptions and resolving funding discrepancies
- Meet internal deadlines for reconciliations and contribute to related projects, ensuring smooth operations
- Analyze trends and identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation in payment workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate financial data, providing actionable insights to resolve issues impacting clients
- Support ongoing process documentation efforts and provide strategic recommendations to improve operational metrics
- Assist in developing and executing initiatives aimed at streamlining processes and improving client-facing solutions
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience preferred
- Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables, Formulas, and Conditional Formatting, is required
- A solid understanding of basic financial concepts, such as debits, credits, and payment funding methods
- Familiarity with the US healthcare system and health plan operations
- BA/BS degree; degree in business-related field of study (Accounting, Business Admin, Economics, or Finance)
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing complex challenges independently and collaboratively while multitasking in time-critical situations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coding and querying knowledge (SQL, Python, etc.) is preferred
