FRA Accountant
Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Job Summary
The FRA Accountant is responsible for supporting financial accounting, reporting, and compliance activities within the organization. The role ensures accurate maintenance of books of accounts, adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements, and timely preparation of financial reports. The position requires close collaboration with local and regional finance teams to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Record Maintenance
Maintain and update books of accounts in SAP and Excel environments.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records and documentation.
Verify day-to-day financial transactions, including supplier payments, employee claims, and other financial activities.
2. Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and support internal and external financial reports, including:
Actuals, budgets, and forecasts
Cash flow and management reporting
Coordinate with local and regional teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Support development and enhancement of reporting systems and tools.
3. Compliance & Internal Controls
Ensure adherence to internal financial controls, including SOX and AFCM requirements.
Maintain compliance with local tax regulations and ensure timely submission of tax filings.
Support audit processes and ensure availability of required documentation.
4. Reconciliation & Balance Sheet Management
Perform and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, including:
Bank reconciliations
Fixed assets register
Supplier confirmations
Ensure all balance sheet items are accurate, reconciled, and properly documented.
5. Operational Finance Support
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in line with defined KPIs.
Provide ad-hoc support for distributor-related A/R and A/P activities.
Assist in cost optimization through efficient financial processes.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration
Liaise with internal stakeholders, including:
KSA FRA team
Head of FRA (HFRA)
Head of Finance (HOF)
Business Planning & Analysis (BPA)
Regional/global finance teams (e.g., APL Switzerland)
Support cross-functional finance initiatives and regional projects as required.
7. Process Improvement
Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting systems.
Support automation and efficiency initiatives within the finance function.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Professional certification in Accounting or Auditing is preferred
Experience
2–4 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial processes
Experience in a multinational organization (MNC) environment preferred
Proven track record in financial controls and process improvement
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel
Good understanding of financial systems and sub-ledgers
Knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance standards
Core Competencies
