Job Description
Summary: Albertsons Companies is a leading food and drug retailer in the United States, and they are seeking a Truck Repair Servicer to join their transportation team at the Tracy Distribution Center. The role involves hands-on maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers, ensuring they are operational and safe for use.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for fueling trucks, trailer, and refers with DSL
- Perform tire repair and replacement on tractor-trailers
- Respond to calls for service out in the field and on the road
- Conduct truck & trailer PMs including but not limited to grease, change oil, top off all fluids, change air & cabin filters, maintain all lights and complete service documentation
- Perform inventory
- Responsible ensuring the truck shop is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion
- Perform other related duties as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Prior mechanical experience in a hands-on diesel truck shop environment or a combination of formal/technical education and related experience
- 90 Day BIT inspections DOT Requirements. Trailer and Tractors
- Beginner/intermediate experience in electronic diagnostics
- Prior experience performing preventative maintenance on tractor-trailers as relates to heavy equipment
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must have a valid state of California driver's license
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Intermediate technical, mechanical skill set to be successful in the role
- Ability to reach, lift and work objects weighing up to 100 lbs. Ability to push and pull heavy equipment
- Manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and high places
- Ability to stand, walk and work in close quarters, prone and awkward positions for lengthy periods occasionally
- Mental alertness and good vision are necessary to ensure safe and accurate completion of work activities
- Exposure to hazards exists with respect to equipment, work areas, tools welding equipment, presses and other power equipment
- Must be able to work full-time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current CDL license
