Main responsibilities:
We are seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager – IT Sourcing to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and category management for IT services. This role is responsible for managing the IT category sourcing including professional services through a Managed Service Provider (MSP) program. This role will drive cost savings, enhance vendor relationships, contract negotiation, and compliance while optimizing costs and driving strategic value. The position requires close collaboration with stakeholders and suppliers to align procurement activities with business objectives. The ideal candidate is required to have deep expertise in IT procurement in core IT categories such as SaaS, SW and professional services, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to partner with key stakeholders across the organization and large suppliers.
The position will be based in Boise, ID or Pleasanton, CA.
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for IT category including professional services.
Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost drivers to identify opportunities for cost savings and service improvements.
Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, from market assessment and RFPs to contract negotiations and supplier performance management.
Lead negotiations with key IT suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and performance commitments. Negotiate Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and rate cards to drive cost efficiency and mitigate risks.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and risk management requirements.
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service quality and business continuity.
Mitigate risks related to third-party engagements, including contractual, financial, and operational risks.
MSP Program & Vendor Management
Oversee the Managed Service Provider (MSP) to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Manage relationships with IT vendors, ensuring competitive pricing, quality service delivery, and risk mitigation.
Monitor vendor performance, conduct regular business reviews, and drive continuous improvements.
Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, and other business stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
Develop and implement supplier governance models to monitor service delivery needs, performance, and compliance. Work with stakeholders to align with their expectations.
Process Improvement & Innovation
Continuously improve procurement processes, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and transparency.
Leverage data analytics and benchmarking to drive insights and informed decision-making.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT category sourcing.
People Management Experience
Ability to lead, mentor and develop high-performing teams. Demonstrated success in fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Skilled in facilitating constructive dialogue to resolve issues effectively.
Experience in setting performance expectations, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Analytical Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
8 + years of experience in IT category sourcing, with people management experience.
Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of managing complex IT services agreements.
Deep understanding of IT categories including SaaS, consulting and managed services.
Experience in managing outsourced program partners.
Strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier negotiations.
Proficiency in using source-to-pay procurement tools.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to convey complex information persuasively to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of contingent workforce and SOW-based procurement models.
Certification in CPSM, PMP, or Six Sigma is a plus.
Experience working in a fast-paced, global environment with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

The salary range is $ $102,700 to $143,800.00 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.
