Role description:

• Work closely with hardware teams to source and procure mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical components for prototype and production hardware.
• Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers for machining, fabrication, electronics, and cable assemblies, focusing on quality, cost, and lead times.
• Work with engineering teams to translate bills of materials (BOMs), drawings, and technical requirements into sourcing plans.
• Manage RFQs, supplier negotiations, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
• Track supplier performance across cost, quality, and schedule metrics and address issues when they arise.
• Support rapid prototype builds by expediting critical components and coordinating with vendors.
• Identify supply chain risks such as long lead times or single-source suppliers and implement mitigation strategies.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while helping introduce new vendors and manufacturing capabilities to hardware teams.

Desired qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or sourcing for hardware products.
• Experience sourcing machined components and electromechanical assemblies.
• Familiarity with engineering documentation such as drawings and bills of materials.
• Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
• Experience working with engineering teams in hardware development environments.
• U.S. work authorization and ability to obtain a security clearance.
