Summary: OpenEye, a subsidiary of Alarm.com, is a leading cloud video platform company that provides solutions for video security and business intelligence. They are seeking a Software Engineer in Test responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery through scalable automation. Responsibilities: - Understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components - Understanding project documents, customer demands, and product objectives to create and execute test cases - Setting up, maintaining, and performing test automation frameworks on multiple application platforms, such as Mobile, Desktop, and Web, and building test scenarios and acceptance tests - Generating detailed bug reports - Handling technical communications and understanding the customers' systems - Analyzing software systems and coordinating with other teams to enhance the overall design - Continuously evaluate and evolve test tools, methodologies, and automation practices, including AI-assisted techniques, to expand coverage, reduce regressions, and improve quality - Managing the final quality on production release - Follow all best practices and procedures as established by the company - Reviews code written by others to determine if the code meets company, departmental, and team standards - Leverage AI-assisted development and testing tools to accelerate effective test creation, code analysis, and defect identification - Evaluate and integrate emerging AI-driven automation capabilities to enhance test efficiency and product quality - Performs all other duties/responsibilities as necessary or assigned Required Qualifications: - Experience with one of the following programming languages - Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Go, C++ - Experience using AI tools (Copilot, Claude Code) - Experience with build/packing tools like Bamboo, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven - Ability to quickly learn new technologies and practices - Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills - Strong quality ethic and test-first attitude - Great communication and teamwork skills Required Skills: Java, AI tools, Test automation frameworks Important Skills: Build/packing tools, Critical thinking Nice-to-Have Skills: Communication skills, Teamwork skills, Problem-solving skills Benefits: Employees are eligible to purchase company stock at a discounted rate, Collaborative, fun, creative culture where idea sharing is encouraged, Casual dress (Jeans are welcome!), Medical, dental, vision & prescription benefits starting day 1!
