QA Engineer at Al Tayer Group in Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

• QA Engineer is responsible for overseeing the testing of software features as part of a collaborative team (Inhouse and Outsource team)
• This role is responsible for Quality review of an Omnichannel E-Commerce Website and Mobile Application; includes creating test plans and strategy, test cases in partnership with developers, business analysts and project managers which are used to shape and verify code and check conformance to system requirements
• The role relies upon Test automation and Manual testing tools wherein the person is to assist in defining QA coding standards and frameworks, for identifying emerging technologies and evaluating their applicability to business goals

Responsibilities

Functional Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible to develop Innovative testing strategies and streamlined processes with development activities to reduce testing redundancy
• Design and Plan Test cases for new projects based on business requirements
• Break a requirement to a set of Positive and Negative scenarios
• Apply the test cases and integration test in an automated manner
• Designing, Programming & Executing Automated test suites for an E-commerce Website - All Major FrontEnd Functionalities across different browsers
• Successfully handles a diverse range of projects from conception through implementation
• Collaborate and establish periodic requirement reviews by stakeholders to ensure requirements were well defined that lead to delivery of flawless applications in production
• Provides suitable solutions for issues/errors based on the understanding of the system and client business processes

Qualifications

Education/Certification and Continued Education

• Bachelor's degree in computer science/ software engineering

Years of Experience

• 3 + years of Software QA Automation experience on both web and mobile platforms – API automation, app automation, Web automation

Knowledge and Skills

• In-depth understanding of Java, Python, SQL and XML
• Hands on experience on architecting and implementing automation frameworks from scratch with the latest technology incorporating BDD such Cucumber, PhantomJS, Katalon (Selenium), Test NG, Junit, REST assured, etc.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration principles and best-practices- Jenkins, GitHub. etc.
• Working experience with Ecommerce platforms, Order Management System, Search and third-party Ecommerce applications
• Exposure and understanding to modern web standards and technology
• Ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams, including business and technical stakeholder
• Comfort and experience working in an Agile SCRUM and test-driven environment
• Consults on estimations, impact assessment and risk assessment of development changes
• Exposure to bug tracking and task management software such as JIRA and QMETRY, etc.
• Knowledge on JMeter scripting for Performance/Load testing will be a Plus
