Ground Mission System Software Architect Location: Getafe Area Job Description: In Airbus Defense and Space, our department is in charge of Electronic Warfare and Ground Mission Systems. In Getafe, we are looking for a Software Engineer (Computer Science or Telecom) responsible for the design and development of software assets for Combat & Transport aircrafts. Our product portfolio enables the whole Mission Management cycle from preparation/planning to debriefing/assessment phases. The successful applicant will join the team in charge of software development. We evolve our systems and processes continuously in order to support the development and operation of the aircraft, from design phases to in service support. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include: - Participate in Ground Mission System projects - Design, develop and verify software assets according to software requirements. - Evaluate and select the best technology options to implement the system and fulfil the business requirements according to architecture capabilities. - Determine the best solution in terms of frameworks, tools, standards and technologies. Choose the best option in an integrated work with the Business unit representatives. - Identify and design common assets to maximize reuse among the rest of area projects. - Analyse requirements of upper level to design and develop specific technical requirements of lower level covering functional analysis, standards and non-functional requirements. - Support activities of upper level (system requirement analysis, architecture and validation). To be considered a valid candidate, you will need: - Great OO skills and strong design patterns knowledge - To be clean code oriented, know the importance of refactoring, encapsulation, and other best practices. - Experience in service-oriented software architecture. - Experience in developing with containers. - Experience in programming languages object-oriented such as C# and Java - Experience in programming languages like Go, Python, JS or C. - Certification or experience in Agile Software Processes Experience in the following fields are a plus: - Development: Jetbrains suite, Visual Studio, Eclipse - Application Lifecycle Management: Team Foundation Server, Azure - Big Data and Machine learning. - Knowledge of Mission Support Systems and/or Electronic Warfare domains. - Experience in all the stages of an application lifecycle This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
