Job Description
Summary: Air Liquide is a world-wide leader in supplying gases, specialty chemicals and services across various industries. They are seeking a Laboratory Technician I to perform sample analysis, manage lab tasks, and ensure safety and quality in a dynamic laboratory environment.
Responsibilities:
- Running samples on a daily basis using ICP-MS, classical wet lab analyses, GC-MS, and particle counters
- Sample login and tracking
- Material and kit handling
- Proper disposal of hazardous waste
- Reviewing data
- Reporting results to the customer
- Supporting the lab team through labware washing
- Transporting samples between labs
- Entering test results into data management systems timely and accurately
- Filling bottle kits
- Following SOP's
- Lab cleaning and organization
- Sample preparation
- Sample login and management using LIMS
- Analysis of semiconductor grade chemicals for trace impurities or assay
- Routine waste disposal
- Preparation of high quality standards for instrument calibration
- Standardization of titrants
- Calibration of analytical instruments
- Commitment to the safe handling of chemicals
- Collaborating to put together results, review data quality, and report results to customers
- Submit quality and safety near misses
- Stay up to date on all lab trainings
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety and quality
- Attend all safety meetings
- Analyze and gain insights from analytical data
Required Qualifications:
- HS Diploma
- Able to adapt to teamwork environment
- Good computer skills
- Work safely at all times and ensure a safety culture
- Holiday and weekend coverage
- Flexible to work OT as needed during staffing shortages
- Flexible to work night shifts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous lab experience
- Associate Degree in Chemistry or Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or Similar Science
