Senior Specialist, Customer Technical Implementation

Location: Hong Kong, HK-Amplify Health

Do meaningful work with us. Every day.

At Amplify Health, we’re looking for individuals with ambition, resilience and passion for healthcare, insurance, wellness and digital technology. As a fast-growing business with the ambition of making people and communities across Asia healthier, we have exciting career opportunities available to help us achieve our vision.

As a Senior Specialist, Customer Technical Implementation, you will be the single accountable technical owner and the primary client-facing technical liaison for successful implementation of Amplify Health products within a market/customer. You will set clear scope boundaries, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive decisions to closure while overseeing multi-product technical delivery (not limited to one product). Working closely with the Project Manager and cross-functional teams (Product, Architecture, Cloud/DevOps, Security), you will deliver the implementation successfully from a technical perspective—requirements and solutioning, integration, environment readiness, System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment readiness, and go-live stabilization.

This is an individual contributor role; you lead through influence and hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

1) Customer Communication & Boundary Management (Top Priority)

• Serve as the primary client-facing technical lead for the customer implementation; facilitate discussions, communicate clearly, and drive decisions to closure.
• Define and maintain clear scope boundaries (in-scope/out-of-scope), proactively manage change requests, and tactfully push back when needed while preserving client trust and satisfaction.
• Translate technical constraints and delivery risks (integration behaviours, environment readiness, sequencing) into clear options, recommendations, and impacts for both customer and internal stakeholders.
• Establish and run a lightweight technical governance cadence with the Project Manager (e.g., decision log, action tracking, weekly risk/issues review) to keep delivery predictable.

2) Customer Technical Ownership (Multi Product Delivery)

• Own the end-to-end technical delivery for the customer across multiple products, ensuring the full solution works cohesively (product-to-product and product-to-client systems).
• Work closely with product tech leads/architects to build and orchestrate system architecture (internal and client facing), ensuring fit-for-customer design and clear technical dependency management.
• Maintain delivery discipline and governance across discovery, build/configuration, SIT/UAT, go-live, and hypercare phases.

3) Integration & Technical Solutioning (API / Data / Interfaces)

• Lead integration requirements and design discussions with client systems (API/data touchpoints), driving clarity on interface behaviors, error handling, and operational flows.
• Ensure end-to-end integration readiness (contracts, mappings, test approach) and coordinate defect triage with internal teams through SIT/UAT.

4) Environment / Infrastructure Readiness

• Drive environment readiness (e.g., sandbox/pre-prod/prod) and ensure infra requirements are understood and executed with Cloud/DevOps and product teams.
• Coordinate readiness inputs across teams so delivery workstreams are not blocked by environment dependencies.

5) Testing Leadership (SIT/UAT) & Deployment Readiness

• Plan and lead System Integration Testing (SIT): define scope, entry/exit criteria, test data needs, and drive defect triage to closure.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT): prepare test approach, coordinate fixes/re-tests, and ensure sign-off artefacts and readiness criteria are met.
• Lead deployment readiness: cutover preparation, production rollout coordination, and post go-live stabilization (hypercare) with clear handover inputs.

6) Security / Resilience / Governance Coordination (as required per customer)

• Coordinate required security/resilience activities with relevant stakeholders (e.g., security assessment inputs, DR planning/testing preparation) to meet governance checkpoints before go-live.

Candidate Profile

Experience and Qualifications

• Over 8–10+ years in technical implementation, solution delivery, or platform integration roles.
• Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills: ability to set boundaries, manage scope, and tactfully push back on out-of-scope requests while maintaining high customer confidence and satisfaction.
• Broad technical foundation across integrations, APIs/data flows, environments/infrastructure, and delivery lifecycle fundamentals.
• Proven ability to operate independently and lead through influence across cross‑functional teams, including Project Managers, Product Teams, and Shared Services, to deliver outcomes.
• End‑to‑end implementation experience: discovery, integration, SIT/UAT, go‑live, and post‑launch support.
• Solid understanding of healthcare or health insurance operations, including claims, clinical, financial, and operational data flows would be advantageous
• Strong familiarity with healthcare insurance platforms (e.g. claims processing, benefits, rules engines, tariffs, clinical coding) would be nice to have.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or relevant) strongly preferred.

Competencies & Core Characteristics

We are seeking a professional who embodies the following competencies and characteristics essential for success in our scale-up environment:

• Technical Domain Expertise: Demonstrates deep understanding of platform integrations and delivery mechanics, and applies this knowledge pragmatically to complex customer environments.
• Solution & Systems Architect: Able to translate customer needs into scalable, coherent technical solutions while balancing product, integration, and operational constraints.
• Unifier & Cross-Functional Influencer: Builds alignment across product, engineering, delivery, and customer teams; drives decisions and progress without formal authority.
• Customer-Obsessed Advocate: Represents the customer perspective internally while protecting Amplify Health’s delivery integrity, quality, and long‑term scalability.
• Data-Driven Decisiveness: Uses facts, risks, and impact analysis to prioritise, sequence, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Resilient Operator: Maintains composure and delivery focus in ambiguous, high‑pressure environments typical of scale‑up and enterprise implementations.
