Role & responsibilities

* Month-End P&L Finalization: Calculate, prepare, and present accurate Profit & Loss statements at the close of each month without fail.

* Group Accounts Management: Handle day-to-day accounting operations for the group's diverse business units (including hospitality and retail divisions).

Ledger Control: Strictly manage and reconcile accounts payable (creditors) and accounts receivable (debtors) to maintain healthy cash flow.

* Taxation & Compliance: Manage, calculate, and file all GST returns and tax payments accurately and in compliance with local regulations.

* Expenditure Control: Monitor daily company expenditures, audit operational costs, and flag any discrepancies or areas for budget optimization.

* Trial Balance & Bank Reconciliations: Accurately prepare trial balance sheets, perform regular bank/cash reconciliations, and ensure all financial data is meticulously recorded.

Preferred candidate profile

Mandatory Condition: The candidate must be fully capable of independently working out and finalizing the company's Profit and Loss (P&L) statements at the end of every month.

* Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification.

* Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably handling accounts for multiple business units or a group of companies.

* Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of standard accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
