Summary: Aeroseal is one of the fastest-growing clean technology companies in the U.S., seeking a Summer Engineering Intern to assist in scaling field operations and next-generation sealing technologies. The intern will support initiatives focused on improving field productivity and conducting applied R&D on advanced atomization technologies. Responsibilities: - Support field productivity initiatives by analyzing deployment workflows and identifying design or process improvements that increase jobs-per-day capacity - Develop and modify CAD designs (fixtures, brackets, tooling, enclosures) to improve equipment portability, setup speed, and reliability - Assist with rapid prototyping and fabrication to validate design improvements - Conduct applied research on atomization technologies (e.g., ultrasonic, electrostatic, pneumatic, thermal, or hybrid approaches) as alternatives to mechanical pumping systems - Build test rigs, execute experiments, and analyze data to evaluate spray performance, reliability, and scalability Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field - Strong CAD experience (SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Fusion 360, or equivalent) - Hands-on experience with CNC machining, fabrication, and GD&T - Familiarity with mechatronics, sensors, and basic control systems - Strong analytical and experimental skills; comfortable working in lab and field-adjacent environments Preferred Qualifications: - Programming experience (Python, MATLAB, Arduino/embedded systems) is a plus Required Skills: Mechanical Engineering, CAD experience Important Skills: CNC machining, Programming Python, Programming MATLAB Nice-to-Have Skills: Analytical skills, Mechatronics, Experimental skills Benefits: Robust insurance package including medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and life insurance through a national insurance provider.
