ICC Bolting Inspector at AEIS LLC in New York, NY

They are seeking an ICC certified Bolting Inspector to ensure quality and compliance across field inspections, testing, and project execution. Responsibilities: - Perform structural bolting inspections in compliance with ICC, AISC, DOT, and project-specific standards - Observe and verify bolt installations and torque-testing operations - Monitor compliance with safety and quality requirements on-site - Identify and document deficiencies and corrective actions - Submit daily inspection reports within - Maintain 90%+ completion of all assigned safety training - Target zero avoidable safety or equipment incidents - Submit 98% of draft reports within 8 hours — with minimal revisions - Maintain 95% on-time site check-in/check-out - Less than 1 serious issue per quarter related to Inspections, Measuring, and Test Equipment due to technician error, lack of maintenance, or lost/damaged equipment - Maintain accurate inspection records using AEIS digital reporting tools - Review and verify technical documents (e.g., WPS/PQR, lab results, etc.) - Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and QA/QC Specialists - Contribute to lessons-learned discussions and workflow improvements Required Qualifications: - ICC Structural Steel & Bolting Certification (Active) - 1–10 years of field experience in structural inspection - OSHA 30 Construction Safety Training (or ability to obtain) - Strong communication and attention to detail - Willingness to travel to project sites Preferred Qualifications: - AWS CWI or NDT Level I/II certifications (MT/UT) - Experience with public infrastructure projects - Familiarity with structural steel construction practices Required Skills: ICC Structural Steel & Bolting Certification, OSHA 30 Construction Safety Training, AWS CWI Certification, NDT Level I Certification, NDT Level II Certification, Structural Inspection, Bolting Inspection, Digital Reporting Tools, Structural Steel Construction Practices, Field Experience, Technical Document Review, Communication, Attention to detail Benefits: 401(k) with company contribution, Health, Dental & Vision Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), Family Leave, Professional development & certification support, Employee referral bonuses, Parking and transit benefits, Tuition reimbursement, Company sponsored discounts (Verizon), Cross-training & internal mentorship opportunities
