Join AECOM’s Transportation team in Atlanta! As a Project Controls Analyst I, you will support project financial activities including invoicing, cost tracking, and reporting, while working closely with project managers and accounting teams. This is a remote work position.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Prepare and review client invoices in accordance with contract terms, rates, and transportation agency requirements (e.g., GDOT).
Coordinate with Project Managers and Accounting to resolve billing issues, unbilled balances, and accounts receivable.
Ensure proper cost coding, labor charging, and documentation to support accurate invoicing.
Support month-end billing and revenue recognition activities.
Assist with project setup activities, including job setup, and billing configuration.
Provide subcontractor invoice and payment release support.
Learn and apply basic project cost controls concepts, including budgets, commitments, and forecasts.
Review actual costs and identify discrepancies or trends; elevate issues to Project Management as needed.
Prepare standard project billing and financial reports.
Support tracking of project costs, labor hours, and progress.
Assist with estimates to complete (EAC), work-at-risk/revenue-at-risk tracking, and project reviews.
Support documentation and processing of contract modifications and change orders.
Assist with final invoicing and project closeout activities, including verification of billing completion and required backup.
qualifications
Minimum :
BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred:
Experienced with professional office environment, practices and procedures
Expereinced in Microsoft 365 particularly Excel
Demonstrates experience working in fast-paced environments while consistently meeting deadlines
Brings experience in being resourceful, highly organized, and detail-oriented
Possesses experience in effective time management and strong interpersonal skills
Has experience working both independently and collaboratively within team environments
