Job Description
Summary: Advanced Space is leading humanity back to the Moon and pioneering innovative solutions in the space industry. They are seeking a Software Engineer responsible for developing ground and flight software for missions to the Moon and beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Able to write and debug basic C++ and Python code
- Learning to write code that is modular and testable
- Can follow established processes for code review, testing, and release
- Limited familiarity with industry tools and best practices
- Familiar with concepts of unit and regression testing
- Understands the importance of communicating when estimates are at risk
- Strong willingness to learn industry-specific tools, libraries, and operating systems
- Able to run unit and regression tests on new or modified code
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent professional work experience required
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Seeks feedback and shows reliability in executing assigned tasks

- Begins to tailor communications for technical and non-technical audiences
- Applies new skills to deliver quality code and minor process improvements
- Demonstrates consistent productivity through quality code and timely delivery of assignments
- Breaks down moderately complex problems into manageable components and systematically addresses each element
- Owns assigned tasks from start to completion, ensuring quality and accuracy of deliverables

- Ability to work in the Westminster, CO office 3-5 days/week
- Applicants must be a US Person (citizen or Green Card Holder/permanent resident, or protected individual)
- Must be eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government
