Summary: Advanced Electric Systems is seeking a driven and tech-savvy Information Technology Intern to support their IT team. This internship offers hands-on experience across infrastructure, cybersecurity, help desk support, and enterprise systems within a highly regulated energy industry. Responsibilities: - Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues (help desk tickets) - Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of laptops, desktops, and mobile devices - Support user account management (Active Directory, password resets, access provisioning) - Help monitor system performance and troubleshoot network connectivity issues - Assist with cybersecurity initiatives (phishing simulations, patching, endpoint protection) - Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, cloud migrations, or infrastructure improvements - Document processes, procedures, and technical configurations - Support IT asset inventory and lifecycle management Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field - Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs) - Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365 - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Ability to work independently and in a team environment Preferred Qualifications: - Hands-on experience supporting enterprise IT systems in a critical infrastructure industry - Exposure to cybersecurity, networking, and cloud technologies - Mentorship from experienced IT professionals - Opportunity to contribute to real-world technical projects Required Skills: TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, Cybersecurity, Endpoint protection, Patch management, Help desk support, User account management, IT asset management, Networking concepts
