Summary: Adoption Options is an inclusive, non-profit adoption agency dedicated to enriching the lives of children, youth, and families. The Fostering Healthy Futures Teen Intern Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical and administrative supervision to graduate interns, supporting program activities, and ensuring the effective mentoring of teens in the program. Responsibilities: - Support the intern recruiting/onboarding for the mentor positions in the Teen program, and communicate with the graduate schools as directed - Conduct enrollment visits with youth and families for the FHF program as directed - Co-facilitate a 3-day orientation for incoming mentors and provide any additional training for all graduate student interns - Prepare for and provide weekly individual clinical and administrative supervision and support for 6 graduate student interns - Complete weekly intern supervision documentation, review mentors’ weekly documentation of mentoring visits/internal progress notes, and complete weekly Kempe program evaluations - Plan and facilitate weekly intern meetings, including group supervision, administrative meetings, and intern seminar trainings using the manualized curriculum provided by the Kempe Center - Coordinate special program events, such as Career Shadow, Case Conferences, etc. as directed - On-call availability after hours and on weekends for mentors, should crises arise in the field - Maintain up-to-date and thorough intern files as required by AO policy - Oversee the creation and maintenance of up-to-date and thorough client files and notes on the youth/families in the program - Assist with facilitation of program evaluations and reporting as directed - Attend all training, consultations, and supervision meetings on the Fostering Healthy Futures program as directed. This includes consults with Kempe, weekly clinical team meeting, weekly supervision with FHF program manager, and AO required staff trainings - Support the planning and implementation of 6 Teen workshops during evening/weekends throughout the program year using a manualized curriculum by the Kempe Center to teach teens important psychosocial skills essential to positive adolescent development - Upload required videos after each skills workshop - Edit, finalize and distribute monthly reports - Attend meetings (e.g. IEPs, clinical planning, staffings) regarding children/families and serve as a liaison/support for program youth with caseworkers, therapists, and school personnel to support mentors as appropriate - Work collaboratively to address clinical challenges and coordinate program logistics - Provide case management support to ensure children’s needs are met, especially for urgent/acute clinical matters and/or when hotline reporting may be necessary - Work independently and within a team on special non-recurring projects as assigned by the Senior Director of Programs. These activities may require attending Adoption Options agency meetings or events, assisting co-workers, planning, scheduling and communicating progress both verbally and in writing Required Qualifications: - Masters Degree in a Behavioral Health field required - 2+ years of clinical experience - Strong understanding of the developmental stages of adolescence - Experience with youth who have emotional or behavioral challenges and/or youth who have experienced maltreatment or child welfare involvement - Experience supervising graduate students or clinicians - Knowledge of, and be comfortable with, delivering manualized curricula in an engaging way - Must possess excellent supervision skills - Must possess exceptional interpersonal, presentation, time management, organizational skills, and verbal written and communication skills - Must possess the ability to work collaboratively with FHF team to lead and guide mentors through clinical challenges and case management support - Attend and support 6 in-person teen workshops on the evenings and/or weekends per year, as scheduled, and be available on-call to mentors in the field experiencing a crisis - Must have access to reliable transportation and possess a valid unrestricted drivers' license and must have proof of 100/300/100 current car insurance on any vehicles driven for the agency as frequent local travel will be required, transportation of youth clients possible, overnight travel possible Preferred Qualifications: - LCSW preferred Required Skills: Clinical supervision, Manualized curriculum delivery, Case management, Youth behavioral health, Graduate student supervision, Crisis intervention Benefits: Pro-rated benefits including Competitive Paid Time Off, Supplemental Leave, Bereavement Leave, FAMLI Leave, Holiday hours, 401(k) Plan with Company Match, pro-rated insurance (health, dental, vision, and life), LCSW Clinical Hours Supervision Program, Flexible Schedules, Telecommuting Program
