Job Description
Summary: Adobe is a company focused on changing the world through digital experiences. They are seeking a Software Engineer to join the AEP Lakehouse team, where the role involves constructing scalable data systems and contributing to impactful projects in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code in Java, Scala, or Python
- Contribute to the development of data pipelines and backend services for real-time and batch workloads
- Work closely with senior engineers and data scientists to assist with analytics and use cases involving artificial intelligence
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and release cycles to ensure high-quality software
- Learn and apply cloud development practices (AWS or Azure)
- Troubleshoot issues and help improve system reliability and scalability
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science (or related field) with 1–3 years of software engineering experience (including internships and academic projects)
- Strong programming skills in at least one language such as Java, Python, or Scala
- Interest in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale data processing
- Problem-solving attitude, curiosity, and a collaborative approach to building solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to data frameworks such as Spark, Kafka, Flink, Apache Iceberg, or Delta Lake
- Familiarity with containerized or cloud-native development (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Knowledge of databases, query engines, or analytics platforms
