Action Flipbooks is a Davis-based event company that turns guests into the stars of their own custom flipbooks: we film a quick clip, print it on the spot, and hand them a real flipbook to take home. We also run photo booths, 360 video booths and green screen at corporate events, galas, schools, weddings and brand activations. Most of our events are around Davis, Sacramento and Northern California. We also do occasional work in Los Angeles for our NorCal crew who want to travel. We're growing fast. More clients, more events and more weekday work than ever, so we're building out the team and there's real room to move up into lead roles. Who we're looking for The people who thrive here are gung-ho. You love being around people, you jump in, and by your second event you're rocking it. You see this as more than a weekend gig: it's a stepping stone into the world of big clients like Google, the major studios and Hollywood activations. What you'll do - Set up and break down flipbook, photo booth and 360 gear - Greet guests, get them hyped, and keep the line moving - Run the camera and printer, then cut and bind flipbooks - Represent our brand at high-end corporate and private events What you need - Saturday availability. This is a must. Most of our events are on Saturdays, so please only apply if you can work most Saturdays through the holidays (and list them in your application) - Early December is our busiest stretch. Sat Dec 5, Sat Dec 12 and the first two weeks of December are where we need people most - Weekday shifts too. We also run weekday events (daytime corporate events, brand activations), so if you've got open weekdays, that means extra shifts and extra money - Friendly, high energy, great with crowds - Reliable, on time, calm under pressure - Able to lift 40 lbs and be on your feet for a few hours - A car or dependable transportation is a big plus - Photo, film, design, events or brand ambassador experience is nice, but we'll train you Pay (most shifts pay $150 to $200+) - Crew: $22/hr - Leads: $25 to $28/hr - After your 3rd event, you get $25 more per event, every event - Paid training on your first shift. Shift length varies by event, mostly evenings and weekends, plus weekday daytime events Events include corporate and holiday parties, movie premieres, brand activations, tradeshows and weddings.
