Job Description
Summary: Actian Corporation is a trusted leader in data management, integration, and analytics, dedicated to helping businesses unlock the full potential of their data. They are seeking a PMO Automation Intern to modernize project reporting infrastructure by building an automated, AI-ready ecosystem that bridges raw project data and executive-level insights.
Responsibilities:
- Automate Data Pipelines: Design and implement automated workflows using Python and Excel to ingest, clean, and normalize data from disparate sources like Jira
- Develop Predictive Dashboards: Build and maintain centralized KPI dashboards in Power BI or Tableau that utilize built-in AI features for trend forecasting and schedule variance analysis
- Lead the PMO AI Capstone Project: Serve as the primary architect for the & AI-Ready KPI Dashboard; project, delivering a fully functional MVP that integrates historical project data with predictive modeling by the end of the 12-week term
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with project managers to define reporting requirements and translate complex data findings into actionable business insights for the final presentation
- Technical Documentation: Author a comprehensive & AI Maturity Roadmap; and technical guide to ensure the sustainability and scalability of the automated systems post-internship
Required Qualifications:
- Must be actively enrolled in a college degree program
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science
- Prior experience with SQL or advanced Python libraries (such as Pandas or NumPy) for data manipulation
- A basic understanding of Agile or Waterfall methodologies and a desire to apply data science within a corporate PMO environment
- Previous experience or coursework in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, or machine learning
- Ability to present technical data structures to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively
