Job Description
Summary: Actian Corporation is a trusted leader in data management, integration, and analytics, dedicated to helping businesses unlock the full potential of their data. They are seeking an Engineering Intern to collaborate with the engineering team, applying modern coding standards and AI technologies to develop high-quality software.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement new features using Java and modern development practices
- Utilize AI-based tools like Claude to assist in code generation and improve development efficiency
- Capstone Project: Develop a new receiver for various data pipelines using AI-assisted coding plugins
Required Qualifications:
- Must be actively enrolled in a college degree program
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Java and familiarity with version control systems like Git
- Previous experience with full-stack development or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus
