Job Description
Summary: The ACLU is seeking an Undergraduate intern in the Development Department at their National office in New York City. The intern will support the creation of training materials and assist with various development initiatives while gaining exposure to the work of different teams within the Development Department.
Responsibilities:
- Learn about and support the creation of training materials for fundraising staff (slide decks, worksheets, etc.)
- Help update and refresh existing training content
- Support the development of microlearning content
- Draft internal resources such as toolkits and one-pagers
- Support evaluation and improvement of learning programs
- Support the development of internal workflows to streamline work
- Design promotional materials for events (flyers, signage, social)
- Assist onsite at in-person events as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Currently matriculated undergraduate students or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Must be based in the U.S. for the entire duration of the internship
- Interest in a career in development, nonprofit management and/or training and learning
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects
- Good writing skills and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- An ability to analyze data
- Be committed to advancing the mission of the ACLU

- Be committed to work collaboratively and respectfully toward resolving obstacles and conflict
