Summary: Achievement First is a nonprofit organization supporting public charter schools across New York, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. The Information Technology Intern will assist in maintaining network infrastructure for charter schools, troubleshooting issues, and supporting staff with technology needs. Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot hardware, software, and wireless network issues (LAN, WAN, etc.) - Organize and inventory technology equipment while maintaining digital documentation via Google Docs and Sheets - Provide troubleshooting and training for a growing network of 500+ staff members - Travel to multiple school sites across Brooklyn and Queens Required Qualifications: - Current undergraduate student or recent college graduate - Major or minor in an IT-related discipline, OR at least 1 year of hands-on technical support experience - Demonstrated experience in tech troubleshooting, specifically with Windows Operating Systems and Wi-Fi issues - High degree of technical proficiency - Strong written and oral communication skills - Self-starter who takes full accountability for projects from start to finish while remaining receptive to guidance and feedback - Acute focus on accuracy and detail-oriented work - Desire to work in a fast-paced, highly disciplined, and sometimes unpredictable school environment - Maturity, humility, a strong work ethic, a sense of humor, and a 'roll-up-my-sleeves' attitude - Willingness and ability to travel between multiple sites in Brooklyn and Queens - Ability to engage in moderate physical activity, including lifting and moving technology equipment weighing approximately 40 lbs - Consistent punctuality is a mandatory requirement for this 40-hour weekly schedule Preferred Qualifications: - Spanish language proficiency is a plus Required Skills: Network Infrastructure, Technical Support, Windows Operating Systems, Wi-Fi Troubleshooting, Technical Proficiency Benefits: Transportation benefits
