Cloud Architect
Reporting to the Information Security and Infrastructure Manager, the Cloud Architect leads the architectural direction for Accordion's AWS and Azure environments. This role ensures the firm's cloud platforms are aligned across practice capabilities and back-office needs while establishing clear frameworks for security, scalability, resilience, and cost management in a multi-cloud environment.
This leader will partner closely with infrastructure, security, engineering, and practice-facing technology teams to shape cloud patterns that support both enterprise operations and development activities. The role requires enterprise architectural judgment, strong cross-platform knowledge, and the ability to guide globally distributed teams across the US, UK, and India. Travel will be required.
This position will ideally be based in one of our US offices and is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely 2 days per week (also eligible for remote candidates).
This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Define target-state architecture and standards across AWS and Azure environments
Ensure cloud patterns support both internal corporate platforms and practice-facing development needs
Create reusable cloud frameworks for networking, compute, storage, identity, resilience, and platform operations

Partner with Security and DevSecOps to align architecture, guardrails, and deployment expectations
Guide design decisions for cloud-native and hybrid solutions
Cost Optimization Governance
Lead cloud cost optimization strategies, usage visibility, and architectural decisions that improve efficiency without weakening capability
Help define standards for rightsizing, consumption governance, and cost-aware design
Reliability & Resilience
Ensure cloud architecture supports disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational resilience requirements
Influence monitoring, backup, failover, and recovery design patterns
You Have:
10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure architecture, or related enterprise technology roles
Deep experience with AWS and Azure capabilities in complex production environments
Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, resilience, automation, and cost optimization
Experience building and governing standards in a multi-cloud environment
Comfortability working across strategy, standards, and design detail
Ability to work across infrastructure, engineering, security, and business-facing teams – you are a collaborative leader who improves consistency across diverse teams

Passionate about delivering exceptional client service
Knowledgeable about the relationship between Private Equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, particularly within the office of the CFO
Willing to get your hands dirty in the details of a project while simultaneously seeing the whole picture
Comfortable managing projects with multiple complex workstreams while also focused on your single workstream (you are managing and doing)
A self-starter with a strong work ethic
Full of entrepreneurial spirit and comfortable in a fluid, flat organization
Able to effectively communicate complex issues and solutions, and raise issues to senior team members when necessary
A team player, able to work with team members across all levels
Someone who enjoys mentoring others and doing meaningful work
A leader of others; you lead by example
The annual salary for this role ranges from: $150,000 to $180,000 + benefits + bonus.
