They are seeking a skilled Software Developer/Engineer who will engage in hands-on software development, integration, and maintenance of software components, ensuring high code quality and performance. This role involves collaborating with teams, implementing security best practices, and staying current with emerging technologies. Responsibilities: - Perform hands-on software development and integration for various client software components, including infrastructure, data tools, and user interfaces - Translate system engineering designs into robust software designs - Design, implement, and maintain source code, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and Configuration-as-Code - Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established coding standards - Create comprehensive unit tests to ensure code quality - Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge - Troubleshoot and resolve software defects - Optimize code for performance and scalability - Integrate with APIs and external systems - Implement security best practices in code development - Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement user interfaces - Work with database specialists to design and implement data models - Document code, APIs, and technical designs - Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and daily stand-ups - Stay current with emerging technologies and development practices Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field - Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, JSON, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, Pig/Hive, and/or Elixir - Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and algorithms - Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., JIRA, Git) - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment - One of these following certifications: GIAC/CISSP/CASP+, or equivalent DoD 8140/8570-level certification, SecurityX / CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, CSC, GCLD, GSEC - US Citizenship required - Active Secret clearance Required Skills: programming languages, Software development principles, Version control systems Important Skills: Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), Configuration-as-Code, Security best practices Nice-to-Have Skills: Agile methodologies, Collaboration with UI/UX designers, Troubleshooting skills, problem-solving skills, Documentation skills Benefits: Accenture Federal Services offers a wide variety of benefits.
