Job Description
Summary: Accenture Federal Services is dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of the US federal government through innovative technology solutions. They are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to support the development and deployment of cloud-based solutions, with a focus on Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools in a collaborative engineering environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, developing, testing, and deploying software and automation solutions
- Support Jira and Confluence workflow customization, automation, and integrations, including scripting, API usage, and plugin‑based enhancements
- Develop and maintain IaC and CaC using tools such as Ansible, Bicep, Terraform or PowerShell
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using C#, Python, Java, PowerShell, or Bicep
- Contribute to cloud solution development and deployment within Microsoft Azure environments
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code across various programming languages as needed
- Collaborating with senior engineers on new features, enhancements, and cloud architecture improvements
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and automated deployment workflows
- Troubleshoot application, configuration, or pipeline issues in development and deployment environments
- Document system changes, engineering processes, workflows, and deployment patterns
- Participate in team meetings, design sessions, code reviews, and continuous improvement activities
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 0–2 years of software engineering experience (internships, course projects, or personal projects welcome)
- Foundational understanding of cloud computing concepts and software development principles
- Basic knowledge of networking, databases, and security fundamentals
- Must hold 8140 certification or obtain it within six months
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices concepts
- Exposure to Agile development methodologies
- Experience or hands‑on practice with Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) fundamentals or experience using AI‑assisted development tools
- Valid US Passport Required
