Summary: Acadia Pharmaceuticals is dedicated to advancing innovative treatments for underserved neurological and rare disease communities. The Manufacturing Intern will support the Manufacturing team by contributing to operational projects and strategic initiatives, gaining hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: - Interpret trends, compare datasets, and support risk assessment activities - Draft clear summaries, data logs, and structured notes for tech transfer tools - Work with cross functional teams Manufacturing, Supply Chain, QA, and external vendors - Review vendor data or evaluating process risks - Draft tech transfer tools that will be used by multi-disciplinary teams to support and coordinate technology transfers - Prepare a vendor assessment tool (in excel) to support with evaluating vendors - Participates in team meetings, planning sessions, and strategic discussions to gain exposure to business operations and contribute insights where appropriate - Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and alignment with company values in all interactions - Completes a capstone project or final presentation summarizing internship contributions and key learnings (if applicable) Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Pharmaceutical engineering - Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred - Strong analytical mindset - Basic understanding of GMP / regulated environments — not required - Familiarity with process flow diagrams, mass balance, or unit operation - Problem solving and troubleshooting - Curiosity and willingness to learn - Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and professionally - Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities - High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment Preferred Qualifications: - Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred - Prior internship, leadership experience, campus involvement, or project-based work preferred - Interest in the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry strongly preferred Required Skills: Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering Important Skills: GMP Knowledge, Data Analysis, Microsoft Office Suite Nice-to-Have Skills: Analytical Mindset, Curiosity, Problem Solving, Communication Skills, Organizational Skills Benefits: Competitive base, bonus, new hire and ongoing equity packages, Medical, dental, and vision insurance, Employer-paid life, disability, business travel and EAP coverage, 401(k) Plan with a fully vested company match 1:1 up to 5%, Employee Stock Purchase Plan with a 2-year purchase price lock-in, 15+ vacation days, 13 -15 paid holidays, including office closure between December 24th and January 1st, 10 days of paid sick time, Paid parental leave benefit, Tuition assistance
