Summary: Intrepid Direct Insurance is a rapidly growing direct to consumer property and casualty insurance company. They are seeking a motivated Software Engineer Intern to learn about the engineering SDLC process, assist with production support, and contribute enhancements to their codebase. Responsibilities: - Plan work assignments with assigned team members - Collaborate with team to work on well-defined technical tasks - Debug and troubleshoot technical issues - Assist with implementation of features in existing applications - Contribute to additional development tasks, including UI, API, and database integrations - Create and update unit and integration tests - Manage code changes using Git - Participate in code reviews Required Qualifications: - Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science or related field - Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts - Basic understanding of related databases - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript with frontend development frameworks - Familiarity with backend development using C#/.NET - Familiarity with unit testing - Strong communication skills - Eager to learn and work in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: - Angular, C#/.NET, and SQL experience is a plus, but not required - Experience using APIs Required Skills: Object-oriented programming, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#/.NET Important Skills: Unit testing, APIs Nice-to-Have Skills: Eager to learn, Basic understanding of databases, Angular experience, SQL experience
