Summary: Berkley Technology Services (BTS) is a technology solution provider for W. R. Berkley Corporation, a Fortune 500 company. The Data Engineer Intern will work closely with experienced engineers on the Berkley Data Warehouse Team, gaining hands-on experience in developing ETL processes and understanding data related to insurance and finance. Responsibilities: - Develop ETL processes using Databricks Notebooks or ADF - Develop and utilize Enterprise scheduler - Develop Databricks Notebooks, SQL, Stored Procedures, API’s - Develop understanding of insurance, reinsurance, and financial data - Develop RPA utilizing Python and/or UiPath - Assist with implementation and management of DataStage, SSIS, Redgate,Fivetran,UiPath - Collaborate with peer technical teams Required Qualifications: - At least three years of college or university coursework completed; preference is for some coursework related to computer science or similar area of study - Registered student or recent graduate pursuing a major in an IT-related degree Preferred Qualifications: - Prior related co-op, internship, and/or on or off-campus technical experience preferred but not required - Computer Science Club member a bonus but not a requirement - Experience leading group projects in a classroom, internship/co-op, and/or professional setting is a plus Required Skills: ETL development, Databricks Notebooks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Enterprise scheduler, SQL, Stored Procedures, APIs, Insurance data, Reinsurance data, Financial data, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Python, UiPath, DataStage, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Redgate, Fivetran
