Summary: Abstract is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide technical support across Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois. The role involves delivering remote and onsite IT support, managing client infrastructure, and troubleshooting various technical issues to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities: - Deliver remote and onsite IT support - Manage and maintain client infrastructure - Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues - Assist with system migrations and deployments - Ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction Required Qualifications: - Server and network management experience - Workstation and server migrations - Windows OS support (Windows 7–11 required) - Firewalls (DNAT, port forwarding, WAN/LAN, VLANs) - Switches (VLANs, OSI model understanding) - Access points (including point-to-point systems) - Excellent communication skills - Friendly and personable demeanor - Strong organizational skills - High attention to detail and memory retention - Customer-focused and calm under pressure - Strong work ethic and commitment to quality - Ability to use power tools - Willingness to travel as needed Preferred Qualifications: - Windows Server (2016–2025 preferred) - Cisco or Ubiquiti/UniFi experience (certifications a plus) - Experience in any of the following is a plus: Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment, Point of Sale (POS) systems, Retail (grocery, convenience stores, petroleum), Restaurants, Medical or dental software, Manufacturing or industrial systems, CRM, ERP, or MRP systems, Microsoft SQL Server, VMware or Hyper-V, Wireshark and Linux command line - MSP experience: 1 year (Preferred) - General technology experience: 1 year (Preferred) - Clean background (no prior convictions or felonies) - Military service (especially with active security clearance) - Clean driving record - 3+ professional references Required Skills: Server management, Network management, Windows OS support, Windows Server, Firewalls, Switches, Access points, Cisco, Ubiquiti UniFi, Power tools Benefits: Paid time off, Flexible hours, Tools and technology provided, Company vehicle and gas, Meals and lodging covered for out-of-area work
