What drives us is the shared motivation to make an impact and actively shape the future of eCommerce. jobDescription Own architecture standards, backend concepts, and technical guidelines across our e-commerce projects Design, develop, and operate complex middleware and integration solutions based on SCAYLE Build scalable integrations for ERP, PIM, CRM, CDP, payment, and fraud prevention systems Take responsibility for product, inventory, and order synchronization as well as complex e-commerce workflows Develop and integrate custom logistics, carrier, and warehouse management system (WMS) solutions Actively contribute to architectural decisions while remaining hands-on in backend development Continuously improve CI/CD processes, infrastructure standards, and modern development workflows Evaluate and introduce AI-supported engineering workflows to increase team efficiency Provide technical mentoring and sparring for engineers within the team Support technical recruiting and help grow the engineering organization Collaborate closely with clients and internal stakeholders on technical topics and solution design Work closely with the SCAYLE core teams to help shape platform improvements and engineering best practices qualifications Several years of experience in backend development with PHP/Laravel Proven experience designing and operating complex integration or middleware architectures Strong understanding of modern cloud and infrastructure architectures (AWS, Terraform, containers) Experience working with scalable e-commerce or enterprise systems Initial experience in technical leadership, mentoring, or team lead responsibilities Strong communication skills when working with clients and technical stakeholders A hands-on mindset and enthusiasm for actively building and improving solutions Nice To Have Experience working in an agency or consulting environment Knowledge of Vue 3 / Nuxt German language skills additionalInformation Main Benefits Flexible working times 40% discount on our ABOUT YOU online shop Fresh fruits + drinks everywhere Language courses (German & English) Free sports courses & reduced price for Wellpass membership Subsidized public transportation ticket Free choice of hardware and operating system (Mac, Windows, Linux) also for private usage Modern office in the city center of Hamburg International working environment and English as company language Agile work environment and cross-functional teams Dog-friendly office Professional training Company pension plan Help in relocation and VISA process (Benefits may vary depending on location) Simply apply online via our career page - we will get back to you as soon as possible!
