They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Engineer to support the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and analytics infrastructure, working closely with senior engineers and business partners. Responsibilities: - Design and build solutions for analyzing large data sets, identifying patterns and relationships: - Create, deploy, and optimize large-scale data pipelines - Rapidly develop new data and analytics prototypes - Explore and document data sources, ensuring data quality and availability - Manage data sources, organize data, and create data assets using identified open source or proprietary tools - Build approved processes with best practices for dependency management, error handling, and orchestration - Implement Lakehouse federation in Databricks for secure access to external systems - Define transition strategies for federated datasets into ingested Delta Lake formats for performance, reliability, or lineage requirements - Collaborate with subject matter experts to build data pipelines from structured and unstructured sources - Work on the newest tools and technologies to achieve results - Python, PySpark, and Databricks - Resolve technical issues related to assigned projects - Implement data quality checks, lineage capture, metrics/alerts, and SLA dashboards - Prepare clear documentation, runbooks, consumption contracts (SQL/API) onboarding guides, and operational handoffs - Support company initiatives and comply with regulatory requirements - Maintain positive and cooperative communications with all stakeholders - Perform other related duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or related field - 0-2 years or experience in IT related field - Foundational knowledge of SQL.
