Job Description
Summary: Abbott is a global healthcare leader that helps people live more fully at all stages of life. As a Gross Margin Business Analyst, you will analyze critical business data to identify opportunities for gross margin improvement and work closely with cross-functional partners to drive cost efficiency and optimize business performance.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze critical business data to identify gross margin improvement opportunities across key divisions
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to product cost improvement, profit enablement, demand and market insights, and inventory performance
- Develop and recommend margin best practices and process improvements
- Perform root cause analysis and support cross‑functional efforts to address performance gaps
- Transform data into clear, compelling stories through effective visualization and analytics
- Support management with project prioritization and insights that align to departmental objectives
- Optimize, automate, or enhance manual and repetitive analytical processes
- Participate in special projects and provide guidance to less experienced analysts as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a business analysis, analytics, or data-focused role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with large datasets and draw meaningful conclusions
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present insights to stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting gross margin, finance, supply chain, or operations-related initiatives
- Proficiency with data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools
- Experience identifying process improvement opportunities and driving change
- Ability to work cross‑functionally in a matrixed environment
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field
