Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)
In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.

This role is contributing to the {ELSP China MU in Xinhui Planning & Fulfillment}. Main stakeholders are {warehouse continues improvement lead &warehouse supevisor}.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Conduct research, modeling and implementation of bin packing optimization algorithms, and deliver business-aligned automatic packing solutions
Build desktop/web-based packing tools with core functions of parameter entry, packing visualization and loading rate calculation
Interface with business data, complete algorithm testing and optimization, and ensure stable tool deployment and on-site availability
Prepare technical documentation, and support on-site tool deployment and operator training

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
Sound logical thinking and full-cycle verbal & written expression skills
Familiar with Python or C#, with relevant practical experience
Strong team communication and collaboration capabilities
Computer-related major or equivalent technical project experience
Experience in course design or projects involving packing/container loading problems and 2D/3D spatial arrangement
