Job Description
Summary: Aalo Atomics is on a mission to revolutionize clean energy through cutting-edge nuclear technology. As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you’ll play a vital role in design, prototyping, and testing efforts related to nuclear energy applications.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the design and analysis of mechanical systems for nuclear energy applications
- Conducting simulations and computational analyses to ensure system reliability and safety
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support prototyping and testing initiatives
- Preparing technical documentation, including reports, drawings, and presentations
- Contributing to innovative solutions that enhance performance, efficiency, and safety in nuclear systems
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, and materials science
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, Inventor, etc.) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN, STAR-CCM, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Passion for clean energy and a commitment to innovation
