Application Chef (North Indian Cuisine) at Aachi Group in Chennai

About the Role

Aachi Masala Foods Pvt Ltd is looking for an experienced Application Chef North Indian Cuisine to join our R&D team. The role will focus on creating, testing and standardising recipes and food applications for Aachi's spices, seasonings, sauces, masalas and other food products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new North Indian recipes and food applications using Aachi products.
• Conduct recipe trials, product testing and tasting sessions.
• Standardise recipes with accurate ingredients, measurements, process and yield.
• Conduct sensory evaluation covering taste, aroma, texture, colour and overall acceptability.
• Experiment with different spices, seasonings, sauces and ingredients to develop new applications.
• Benchmark existing products and recipes and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Convert culinary concepts into consistent, scalable and commercially viable recipes.
• Prepare application samples for internal evaluations, customer trials and product demonstrations.
• Document trial results, recipes, formulations and sensory feedback.
• Work closely with R&D, Quality, Production, Marketing and other cross-functional teams.
• Support product demonstrations and application trials whenever required.

Candidate Profile

• Strong hands-on expertise in North Indian cuisine.
• Proven experience in recipe development and new recipe creation.
• Experience in sensory testing, tasting and food product trials.
• Strong palate with the ability to identify and balance flavours, spices and seasonings.
• Good understanding of North Indian gravies, curries, marinades, snacks, breads and other applications.
• Ability to standardise traditional recipes into repeatable commercial formulations.
• Creative, experimental and passionate about food innovation.
• Culinary qualification or professional chef experience preferred.

Preferred Background

Candidates from food companies, spice/seasoning companies, QSRs, hotels, central kitchens, foodservice or food R&D/application centres will be preferred.
