Job Description
Summary: AAA The Auto Club Group is seeking a reliable and motivated General Service Technician to join their team. This role is critical to ensure that customers receive safe, dependable, and high-quality vehicle service, involving basic maintenance and inspections under the direction of senior technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, balancing, and flat repairs
- Inspect and replace filters, bulbs, belts, and other minor components as needed
- Conduct multi-point inspections to identify additional maintenance or repair needs
- Assist with brake, suspension, and alignment services under the direction of senior technicians
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service bay and shop areas
- Properly document services performed and communicate findings to service advisors or managers
- Adhere to all company safety standards and procedures
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED, or technical school graduate, certification
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Mechanical aptitude is required
- Knowledge of automotive and/or truck systems, tools, and technical resources and training to independently perform a variety of usually basic repairs and maintenance of automobile and truck vehicles
- Understand and consistently demonstrate the proper use of equipment and tools used in such repair and maintenance, as well as the need to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Ability to consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service scores
Preferred Qualifications:
- G1-Auto Maintenance & Light Repair preferred
- State inspection certificate, where applicable
- AC 609 Certification
