Summary: AAA Life Insurance Company is seeking an Intern / Co-Op in Environmental Engineering/Environmental Science at their Columbia, Maryland office. This role offers the opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world environmental challenges while gaining business skills in a consulting environment. Responsibilities: - Researching, collecting, organizing, and summarizing historic environmental documents - Technical writing of reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals - Data input and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures - Follow instructions and interact with engineers, scientists, geologists, office administrative staff, contractors and construction personnel - Assist with environmental due diligence (Phase I/II ESAs); and - Potential for fieldwork such as site visits, soil and groundwater sampling, stormwater inspections, and drilling and contractor oversight Required Qualifications: - Currently registered in a Bachelor's or Master's university degree program in a relevant science or engineering discipline - Degree focus area in geology, environmental science, environmental or water resources engineering - Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Microsoft Office Required Skills: Environmental science, Geology, Environmental engineering, Water resources engineering, Microsoft Office Benefits: Paid holidays, Vacation, Sick, Personal paid time off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability insurance, 401(k), Other benefits to eligible employees
