Job Description
Summary: A.P. Moller - Maersk is a global leader in port and terminal management, dedicated to delivering excellence in container handling and logistics solutions. They are offering an internship opportunity for motivated students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in terminal operations while developing practical skills for long-term career growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an understanding of APM Terminals as a business, including its purpose, customers, services, and operational priorities
- Rotate through assigned functions and departments to gain broad exposure to terminal operations
- Support day‑to‑day activities within the assigned department and perform tasks as delegated by supervisors or managers
- Participate in business‑focused projects, including research, analysis, problem‑solving, and practical recommendations
- Present findings or project outcomes at the end of the internship period
- Engage with internal stakeholders and, where applicable, customers, suppliers, or vendors
- Learn and become comfortable using internal systems, tools, and basic operational software
- Contribute ideas that support improved customer service, efficiency, and internal processes
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a recognized university or technical college in Liberia (at least four semesters completed), or a recent graduate
- Between 18 and 25 years of age at the time of application
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 in the most recent academic semester (for current students)
- Able to work full-time for the duration of the internship
- Comfortable working collaboratively with diverse teams
- Demonstrates strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn
- Able to manage tasks responsibly and meet agreed timelines
- Recommendation letter from the host university confirming suitability for the internship
