Customer Service Professional at A Little Cake in Park Ridge, NJ

About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused team member to join our bakery. This position is the face of our business and plays an important role in creating a positive experience for every customer.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in-store, over the phone, and through email.
• Take cake and dessert orders accurately and efficiently.
• Help customers choose cake designs, flavors, fillings, and serving sizes.
• Process payments and operate the point-of-sale system.
• Package cakes, pastries, and bakery items with care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming storefront.
• Restock display cases, packaging supplies, and retail products.
• Coordinate with decorators and kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy.
• Answer customer questions regarding products, pricing, and bakery policies.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Comfortable using computers and point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Bakery, food service, retail, or hospitality experience is a plus but not required.

Requirements

• Weekend availability is mandatory.
• Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Schedule

• Full-time and part-time positions available.
• Flexible weekday scheduling.
• Weekends are required and are a key part of this position.
• This is not a Summer only position
