Engineering Manager BC3 at 4PS in Ede, Gelderland - Hyrbid

Engineering Manager Product Development

At 4PS, we build software that helps construction companies work smarter and more efficiently. To support the growth of our Product Organization, we are looking for an Engineering Manager.

In this role, you lead a software development team and are responsible for people, engineering practices, and delivering quality. You create an environment where teams can thrive while connecting day-to-day execution with the broader engineering strategy of 4PS.

What will you do?
As an Engineering Manager, you are responsible for creating an environment where both people and technology can thrive. You lead a software development team and ensure that team members can perform at their best while continuously improving engineering practices, quality, and delivery. Acting as the link between day-to-day team execution and the broader Product & Technology strategy, you work closely with Product Managers, Architects, and fellow Engineering Managers to drive both team and organizational success.

AI in our products and Agentic Engineering in our software development process are our biggest focus areas. You help your team make the most of both, whether that means building intelligent features for our customers or reshaping the way we develop software.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading, coaching, and developing a team of software engineers and testers.
• Conducting regular 1-on-1s and development conversations while supporting individual growth and performance.
• Creating a healthy, safe, and inclusive team environment built on trust, ownership, and collaboration.
• Facilitating an effective way of working and removing obstacles that impact team productivity.
• Continuously improving engineering practices, including Agentic Engineering, CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, reviews, and delivery processes.
• Driving innovation in tooling, technology, and ways of working.
• Ensuring the quality, reliability, and maintainability of the solutions delivered by your team.
• Managing priorities and dependencies together with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineering Leadership.
• Representing your team towards stakeholders, customers, and the wider organization.
• Contributing to cross-team initiatives, organizational improvements, and the ongoing development of our engineering culture.

In this role, you combine strong people leadership with technical credibility and engineering craftsmanship, helping both your team and the wider organization continuously improve and grow.

What makes you successful?
You are a leader who knows how to create high-performing teams while maintaining a strong connection to technology and software development.
You are comfortable switching between coaching people, improving processes, making delivery decisions, and discussing technical challenges with engineers and architects.
You know how to balance quality, speed, innovation, and long-term sustainability.

What do we offer?

• A key leadership role within a growing international software organization.
• The opportunity to shape engineering culture, team performance, and ways of working.
• Challenging people, technology, and organizational initiatives with real impact.
• Talented colleagues who are passionate about building great software.
• Extensive opportunities for personal development, leadership growth, and training.

What can you expect from us?

• An excellent salary with a year-end bonus;
• Working with high-end and the latest software from Microsoft and other vendors;
• A great workplace at our office in Ede, with all facilities to support your work;
• Flexibility in working hours and location, including remote work and a home office allowance;
