Job Description
Summary: 2U is a company dedicated to making learning limitless through its partnerships with leading educational institutions. The Senior Finance Analyst role involves executing strategic finance-related projects, including measuring Return on Advertising Spend and developing Key Performance Indicators, while collaborating with various cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the definition and implementation of processes to accurately measure Return on Advertising Spend (ROAS) and Program Profitability
- Prepare and present data-backed recommendations
- Develop forecasting templates
- Craft process implementation roadmap
- Partner with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to define and implement Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting
- Help prepare reporting dashboards, reporting packages, and supporting analyses to streamline ongoing reporting
- Provide analytical support for Capital Structure initiatives, including financial valuation and modeling
- Support ad hoc credit risk evaluation asks
- Assist with lender and investor reporting asks
- Track, analyze, and report on relevant credit, equity, and education market trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Accounting, Operations, Sales, Marketing) to gather data and understand financial impacts
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience
- Must be currently enrolled in an MBA program, first year student preferred
- Graduated with B.A. / B.S. (Discipline not as relevant if in an MBA program; if not in MBA program, must have graduated with a degree in finance, accounting, or a similarly rigorous discipline)
- Working knowledge: Markets (debt capital markets, valuation, etc.)
- General knowledge: Marketing and General Management
- Thorough knowledge: Accounting and Finance
- Comprehensive knowledge: Excel and Other Microsoft Applications
- Ability to work both independently and in a highly collaborative team environment
- Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Analytical thinker with great attention to detail
- Ability to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
