We focus on high-performance solutions for data centers, healthcare, clean rooms, life sciences, and other mission-critical environments, driving innovation to reduce carbon footprints and support goals like Net Zero and LEED certification.
We are thrilled to operate our cutting-edge U.S. Technology headquarters and manufacturing facility in Mesa, Arizona, reflecting our rapid growth and commitment to sustainable climate solutions.
As part of our continued U.S. growth, XNRGY is seeking a highly experienced CAHU (Custom Air Handling Units) Project Lead – After Sales / Service to support and lead all service-related activities for Custom Air Handling Units across the organization.
Job Summary
The CAHU Project Lead – After Sales / Service is responsible for leading all post-shipment activities related to Custom Air Handling Units (CAHUs), including installation support, start-up, commissioning coordination, warranty management, and field issue resolution.
This role serves as the central owner of CAHU service execution across both newly delivered equipment and the existing installed base. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, team oversight, and project governance to ensure consistent execution, high-quality outcomes, and strong customer satisfaction.
This is primarily an office-based leadership role managing a CAHU Project Coordinator and field service technicians, while acting as the primary escalation point for complex technical and customer issues. The role requires strong HVAC technical expertise combined with structured execution and leadership capability to drive outcomes across multiple projects.
The position is comparable to service leadership roles within complex equipment industries, where technical leaders must bridge engineering, manufacturing, and field execution to ensure successful system performance in real-world conditions.
Key Responsibilities – CAHU Service Leadership
• Lead all CAHU service activities post-shipment, including rework, installation support, start-up, commissioning, warranty, and field support. • Maintain visibility across all CAHU projects, including installation progress, startup readiness, open issues, and risks. • Drive execution across multiple projects and ensure alignment between customers, field teams, and internal stakeholders. • Act as the primary escalation point for all CAHU-related technical and project issues. • Manage and coordinate cross-functional support from Engineering, Manufacturing, Controls, and Vendors.
Team Leadership
• Directly manage CAHU Project Coordinator and assigned Field Service Technicians. • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to ensure safe and effective execution. • Allocate resources and balance workload across projects. • Foster a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
Technical Leadership & Issue Resolution
• Provide technical guidance for troubleshooting airflow, hydronic, mechanical, and controls-related issues. • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for field and system issues. • Validate solutions prior to field execution. • Support continuous improvement through feedback to Engineering and Manufacturing.
Program & Performance Management
• Track project costs, labor, parts, and service-related expenses. • Monitor KPIs such as startup performance, warranty trends, and field quality. • Provide reporting and visibility into CAHU service operations. • Support development of standardized processes and execution frameworks.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
• Serve as the primary contact for customers and representatives for CAHU service matters. • Lead communication during issue resolution and project execution. • Support customer meetings and critical escalations.
Qualifications
• 7–10+ years of HVAC experience in service, commissioning, controls, or technical field support. • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience. • Strong understanding of air handling systems (CAHU, AHU, DOAS). • Experience supporting complex equipment startup and troubleshooting. • Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects. • Experience in OEM or manufacturing environments preferred.
Technical Knowledge
Knowledgeable in air handling systems, hydronic systems, airflow, HVAC controls, sequence of operations, system integration, and troubleshooting of complex HVAC equipment.
Leadership Competencies
• Technical leadership and problem-solving • Strong cross-functional coordination • Ownership and accountability • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities • Customer-focused mindset
